Double Square Drill
Double Square Drill

Set up the outer square about 25-30 yards, and the inner square about 10 yards. Players will start at two diagonal corners (about 4 per line), with balls. Sequence 1: Two diagonal players start simultaneously (A) with a sharp diagonal pass to B, B plays C, C plays D, and D dribbles to the other side. Players follow their pass. Encourage 1-2 touch Sequence 2: Same as above but adding in a wall pass with C and D - C will play D, who lays if off to C who is checking in, and then lays it off to D who is making the run down the line (variation: D can pass down the line to next player) Sequence 3: Adding in pug goal/goal. Same as 1 but with a shot, player D retrieves the ball from GK and dribbles down. On the non-goal side, D plays in to F, who lays it off to E while F checks out to receive a ball back from E to run onto and then dribble back to the start.
