This is another exercise to work on the first touch when receiving the ball. To set up place four cones in a small square as shown in the video. Each player should have a partner. In this drill we receive the ball and trap it with the inside of our foot outside the cones. The first touch should bring the ball to the inside of the cones so we can play it back to our partner with the inside of our other foot. So we receive the ball outside the cones and use the first touch to bring the ball back inside the channel to play the ball.
- Be ready with head up and on your toes.
- Trap the ball with the inside of foot, outside of the cones.
- First touch should get the ball inside cones.
- Play ball with inside of the foot, inside the cones.
