Set Up:

12-16 players are set up in the attacking third, starting 1v1 on the flanks with an additional attacker in the penalty area. To begin play, the flank attacker tries to dribble past the defender and thru the gate into the penalty area. After the attacker enters the penalty area, the second attacker can release from the nearest cone to create a 2v1. If the defender wins the ball, he can score in the small goals set up outside of the penalty area. Upon completion, the play is re-started on the other side of the field by the Feeder. After five minutes, two attackers switch over to the defense.

Coaching Points:

1.  Attack at high speed with the dribble and get the defender back on his heels.

2.  Change speed and direction in order to beat the defender 1v1.

3.  Look for 2v1 combinations (overlap, takeover) when the dribbling run stalls.

Progressions:

1.  Limit the number of passes made by the two attackers.
