Players partner up for this drill. Two cones placed 5-10 yards a part depending on age and focus. Behind one line of cones 2-3 more cones are placed 5 yards a part from each other. Player one passes the ball on the ground to player two, who takes two touches, a trap and a pass. Once they pass the ball back to player one, they will run to the first cone behind them and then call for the ball when returning back to the original cone. They will repeat this moving out one cone each time until the have gone through the progression two times. Players will switch and and begin together as a team.
Reinforcement points: Using the proper form when passing with the inside of their foot. Stationary player should remain on toes and prepared to make good intentional passes while also receiving the ball to set up their next pass.
Drill focuses on repetitive passing while using good technique and also conditioning.
