*Pressure: Closest player to the ball - allow no time for the player, force at an angle *Cover: Closest to pressure defender, deny short & easy option. This player will step to the ball when the pressure player is best *Balance: The rest of the players. These players cover the gaps between the pressure and cover defenders Set up 4 (or 3) mannequins/flags and number them. Have 4 (3) players (preferably back line) 5-8 yards away. The coach will call out a number and the players will sprint to the correct numbered mannequin, while keeping the correct defensive shape, showing pressure, cover, and balance. Continue calling different numbers and allowing players to adjust their shape accordingly
