The goal kick is set up as in the first diagram. The keeper places the ball at the corner of the box for the direction they want to go, in this case right. The RB drops and gets wide in the 18 yard box. The LB moves to the middle and assumes a sweeper position in front of the goal. The CM plays above the 18 and between the RB and LB and the LM cheats toward the middle to be an option as well. The RM takes a position on the touchline halfway between the box and midfield. If the RM is open, the keeper plays it long. If not, the ball is played just in front of the RB who dribbles it wide and still looks to get the ball up to the wide RM. Once the RM has the ball, we can then switch fields via the CM (who moves up) and the LM, or get the ball up to the striker.
