The first option is the short ball to the center mid. The center mid casually runs up to take her position. If nobody covers her, the right back raises and drops her arm and we quickly play the ball to her. The right back sprints back around the center mid as in the diagram. If the center mid is not challenged, she plays a ball into the goal. If she is challenged, she drops the ball in front of the right back who takes a shot on goal.

The second option, if the center mid is covered, is the long ball between the penalty spot and the 6 yard box. The players line up as diagramed. The right back raises and drops her arm, loudly counts "1 one thousand, 2 one thousand" and hits the ball in. The right mid, left mid and striker all release on "2 one thousand". The other striker is lined up directly in front of the keeper to serve as a distraction. The left mid (on this side) makes sure to stay back post in case the ball clears the box. Center back and left back play up high both to play the ball back in if necessary or prevent a counter attack.

Because we cannot head the ball, the short ball is the first option, if the other team allows it. The center mid and right back will have much better angles on the goal than the right back would have had by playing the long ball from the corner. And I think we have some really big legs this year that will be able to put the ball in from just inside the 18 like in the pic.
