Set Up:

There are eight players set up on a large grid, playing in pairs. Three of the pairs stay on the outside of the grid, playing keep away versus the two defenders. During play, the attackers are limited to one touch. When an attacker loses the ball, he switches into the middle along with his partner. If a defending pair is unable to win the ball within thirty seconds, they are switched out of the middle. Whenever the ball is put out of play, the drill is re-started by the Feeder

Coaching Points:

1.  When receiving, open up your stance and be able to see both sides of the field.

2.  Anticipate the direction of play, and know where you’re going with your next pass.

3.  Call for the ball early. Get the passer’s attention before he receives the ball.

Progressions:

1.  Shrink the size of the grid.

2.  Progress to 6 v 3.

3.  Attackers can move into the grid.
