Organisation:
Area 16 x 16 metres
Red Player passes the ball to the Blue Player, Black Player (the attacker) drops into receive. Blue passes to Black, Red Player (the defender) applies pressure from behind. Black Player must try to score by dribbling through either of the gates marked with big cones. If the Red Player wins the ball, they must pass it back to the Blue Player. Players rotate positions.
Football Actions:
Quick movement to receive
Assess position of the defender. If very tight, can player turn on first touch? If dropped off, can player open out on first touch?
Make your move (Skill, trick or speed)
Accelerate into space created
End Product
If ball is lost, quick transition to defend
Notes:
Make sure that players play until goal is scored, i.e., dribble through either goal, or ball goes out of play and are aware of the transitions.
