Set Up:
Eight players are set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. The Feeder begins play with a pass to the deepest attacker, and all of the players release with the Feeder’s first touch. Play continues 2v2 to goal from there. If the defenders win the ball, they can score in the small goals set up outside of the penalty area. Upon completion, the Feeder re-starts play with a new set of attackers and defenders.
Coaching Points:
1. The 2nd attacker should first look to make runs to goal.
2. If the attack stalls, the 2nd attacker should look for the overlap and the takeover.
3. The overlap run can be made if the 1st attacker has space in front of him.
Progressions:
1. Progress to 3v3.
