Set Up:

13 players are set up in the attacking half, playing 5v2 in the flank grid, and 2v2 on the opposite flank. The flank players start at the cones. Play begins in the flank grid, and the five attackers play keep away, looking to play a long ball out to the flank. When the long pass is struck, the flank players release from their cones. From there, the attack continues 2v2 to goal. If the defenders win the ball, they send it back up to the Feeder. Upon completion, the four flank players switch into the grid for the re-start.

Coaching Points:

1.  Play in a one and two touch rhythm inside of the grid.

2.  Use the entire grid in order to create enough time and space for the long pass.

3.  On runs to goal, do not hide in dead space behind the defenders. Show yourself.

Progressions:

1.  An attacker follows the long pass to goal to create a 3v2.
