Set Up:

Groups of three players are set up inside of the small grid, playing head balls only in a short, short, long sequence. Group #1 shows the beginning of the sequence, with Player 1 heading to Player 2, and Player 2 heading back to Player 1.Player 2 then turns around to combine with Player 3. Group #2 shows the continuation of the sequence, with Player 1 heading long to Player 3, over the head of Player 2. Player 3 then heads short to Player 2 to continue the short, short, long sequence. Groups compete against each other, trying to get the most consecutive touches in a ten minute period.

Coaching Points:

1.  Direct the ball up at an angle when clearing as opposed to heading the ball downward.  

2.  Keep your feet active in your stance, with one foot forward and one foot back.

3.  Bend backwards at the waist and step into the header in order to generate power.  

Progressions: 

1.  Juggle the ball for 2-3 touches before passing to the next player.
