Breakaway Pressure

Fairly simple soccer drill that works for most ages of young soccer players.  It may be a good idea to use a couple of goal keepers as well because it can get quite tiring.  Two lines of players should be set up about 45 to 50 yards away from the goal and each line should be about 10 yards outside the goal post (see diagram). On the whistle the first player in each line starts to run towards the goal.   The goalie  makes a long pass in the air to either player.  The player that receives the ball tries to control it and go in for a breakaway shot on net.  The player that does not receive the ball puts pressure on the ball carrier.  See the soccer drill animation for an example.
