This technique for receiving the ball on our first touch uses the outside of our foot. This is effective when you need to receive the ball and protect the ball from a defender. Use the outside of your foot to receive the ball to the outiside of the cones and then make the pass.
- Be ready to receive the ball
- Head up
- On your toes
- Receive ball with the outside of the foot
- First touch should be to outside of cones
- Play ball with inside of the foot
