Set Up:

There are 12-16 players set up in the attacking third, starting at the cones. To begin the drill, Player 1 wall passes with Player 2, and then plays the ball up to Player 3. Player 3 runs onto the pass and then walls with Player 2, who has come back to support the play. Player 3 then plays the ball thru to Player 4, who finishes on goal. Upon completion, the players rotate to the next cone. After 10-15 minutes, the drill is moved over to the other side of the field.

Coaching Points:

1.  The short passes in the combinations must be played directly to feet.

2.  Player 4 must hold his run and wait for Player 3 to settle the ball and look up.

3.  The thru pass cannot take Player 4 too close to the goalkeeper.

Progressions:

1.  Player 4 must beat the goalkeeper and dribble over the goal line.
