ORGANIZATION:

Set up three or four small groups of players 10 yards from the center cone. One player stands at the center cone. Players on the outside each have a ball and start play with a scissors move before passing the ball to the player in the center. Central player receives the ball with the inside or outside of the foot and makes a turn and dribbles to the other side. After passing, outside players move up to the center cone.

FOCUS POINTS:

  • Correct execution of the scissors.

  • Can you make a double scissors move?

  • Pass the ball with the correct speed to the correct foot.

  • Receiver of the pass: check away and into the ball.

  • Move the ball on the first touch to the left or right and make a turn, quickly dribble to the other side.

  • Have arms up when receiving the pass; hold off the imaginary defender.

  • Communication between passer and receiver.
